Mohammed BENABID (Maroc / Morocco)

Mohamed BENABID has almost three decades of experience in the media landscape including more than fifteen years as Editor-in-chief of the most important Moroccan business daily, l’Economiste.

He is currently a professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Faculty of Governance, Economics, and Social Sciences.

Mohamed Benabid, holds a double PhD in Management Sciences from ISCAE (Morocco) and in Information & Communication Sciences from Université Paris VIII (France). He also graduated from journalism school of Strasbourg (France).
Besides his editorial responsibilities, he was a lecturer in several Master, MBA, DBA courses and Seminars on KM, geopolitics, journalism, media economics, Strategic Management, leadership, Communication, and quantitative research methods in management.

He is member of the Consultative group on equity, equality of opportunities, and gender approach (Instance de l’Equité, de l’Egalité des Chances et de l’approche genre), IEECAG), at the town hall of Casablanca. A structure recommended by the Moroccan constitution with a view to enhancing municipal governance. He is also Deputy editor-in-chief of the academic journal (indexed on Cairn database) Management & Innovation, Co-founding, member and member of the committee of sages of the Institut marocain d’intelligence stratégique (imis.ma), Member of the Moroccan association of business economists (AMEEN) and member of International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR). His academic interests are currently on information management issues, notably in the context of digital transformations.
